St. Francis Catholic School is planning for a regular “on-site” opening for August 18th. Due to the COVID-19 virus, certain procedures will change, but we feel strongly that we can comply with the recommendations from the Diocese of Charleston in order to open safely and support our students’ development and learning. The full plan of procedural changes will be circulated once they are completed.

Welcome to our new Fifth Grade Teacher, Mrs. Lesley Brewster. She may look familiar to some of your since she was one of our substitute teachers last year. We are truly blessed to have Lesley joing us full-time this year. Mrs. Brewster is very excited to be working with her Fifth Grade Rock Stars.

The School's Safety Committee would welcome additional members to help with the 'School Safety and Emergency Response Plan'. Our focus is on Threat Assessment, Emergency Preparedness, Violence Prevention, Response and Recovery. Protecting our students, faculty, and staff is our top priority. St. Francis Catholic School - Hot Lunch Information

Mrs. Safe's 'Read for Fun' summer reading program is in full swing with students in Kindergarten through 5th grade participating. Every two weeks, students can check in with their reading progress and earn a prize. The goal is for students to read and log 2 hours of reading each week for a total of 20 hours during the summer. Students are allowed to choose what to read. Happy Reading!

That St. Francis Catholic School has a used uniform closet? We have a wide selection of new and gently used articles of clothing for Pre-K through Eighth Grade. These items are all donated back to the school and are free for any family/child who wants them. Before you buy new uniforms, please come check out what we have in stock. Or if you have any uniforms that do not fit your child anymore, please bring them to the school office to be offered to someone else.

Tutors are needed!

For Upper-Elementary Students

Coming in during school hours to help students one-on-one with their classwork. A little bit of your time makes a big difference to our students! Call Ms. McGlynn at 843-681-6501

SFCS Art Department is looking for 'Oui' glass yogurt jars and mouse pads (new or used). They will be used for projects during the year.

Also, the school is in need of gently used or new tennis balls to be used on chair and desk legs. They may be brought to the school office between the hours of 8:30 a.m. and 2:30 p.m.

2019 - 2020 SFCS FSA Partner Programs

St. Francis earns 2% on all Harris Teeter brand products. The program runs August through May. You must RE-ENROLL YOUR CARD EACH AUGUST for the school year. You can do so three different ways: onlineor at any Harris Teeter customer service desk using our school code which is 1685, or e-mail Tina Rohr with your account's last name and phone number.

Create an account on the Kroger website and link your Kroger Plus Card to the school. Kroger Community Rewards donates to various organizations in the community and SFCS shoppers will earn a percentage of that back for the school each quarter. Our school code is PS347.

Look for the Box Tops Logo on hundreds of participating grocery, office, or drug store products. This year, the company will begin phasing out the cutout coupons and start using a receipt scan system. Download the free app and create an account. Then scan your receipt each time you purchase Box Tops products - so easy! You may also give your receipt to the school office for an FSA representative to scan. If you buy a product that still has the old cutout coupon, please cut the Box Tops coupon out and send them into the school. There will be a container to collect Box Tops in each classroom, as well as the in the Church Narthex. In addition, the program periodically has bonus points available through the app or via the website.

The charitable arm of the well-known company will donate 0.5% of all eligible purchases back to the school. It uses the same shopping platform and offers the same products as the normal website. Just link your Amazon account to the school by clicking on this link. Then do all of your Amazon shopping through Amazon Smile!

The school earns money year round on all grocery sales. They have phased out the Publix Partner Cards and converted to a system based on your phone number. You must first create an account on the Publix website and then link it to the school on the Publix Partners page. Enter your phone number on the keypad at the checkout before your purchase is complete each time you shop. The school automatically gets tagged for that purchase.

When you make a purchase on the first Wednesday of every month using your linked Parker's PumpPal card, their 'Fueling the Community' program donates 1 cent per gallon of gas to the charity that you designate. For more information, please click on this link.

Then the day of the sale, each coupon entitles them to $5 off the price of any item in the store, in addition to the already reduced sale prices.
